Guantánamo torture case to be reheard

The US Supreme Court has given fresh life to a court case against Donald Rumsfeld, former secretary of defence, by four British men who alleged they were abused as detainees at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba.

The court ordered an appeals court to reconsider the case following another Supreme Court ruling in June that Guantánamo detainees were entitled to constitutional protections, including the right to challenge their detention.
