Turner to seek pension levy on all companies

Hundreds of thousands of small enterprises that do not currently fund pensions for their employees face being compelled to do so under proposals from Lord Turner’s Pensions Commission, Whitehall officials said.

Advisers to the Treasury and Department for Work and Pensions said Lord Turner’s report, due out on Wednesday, would recommend that contributions worth 8 per cent of salary should go into his proposed national pensions savings scheme.
