It was the television show Tomorrow’s World that propelled Trevor Baylis and his ground-breaking radio into the spotlight. Not long after, he followed up his invention with a solar panel, a torch, and a mobile phone charger. He holds an OBE and 15 honorary degrees. He built his house on Eel Pie Island, Twickenham, 36 years ago.
