Novartis diabetes drug delayed

Novartis, the Swiss pharmaceutical company, on Monday said it had delayed approval by US regulators of Galvus, its new potential blockbuster diabetes drug Galvus by three months to allow submission of additional clinical data.

The move pushes back till the end of February next year the US Food & Drug Administration’s “regulatory review” of Galvus, a treatment for diabetes type 2, which was due to finish this month.
