Berlusconi faints while giving speech

Silvio Berlusconi, the leader of Italy’s centre-right opposition and former prime minister, fainted on Sunday as he delivered a speech at a political rally, but his aides said he made a rapid recovery.

Late on Sunday Mr Berlusconi, 70, a billionaire media tycoon who is one of the world’s richest men, was taken to hospital to verify the nature of the accident.
