Salamander eyes consolidation with Serica move

Salamander Energy on Monday moved to become a consolidator of UK-listed oil groups operating in south-east Asia with a hostile all-share proposal for Serica Energy, valuing it at £124m ($223m).

A combination of the two would create a FTSE 250-sized company.
