No IOC resources offered to 2012 Olympics

The Olympic movement on Thursday made clear it had no resources to help the organisers of the 2012 London Games to combat the gathering recession.

London 2012 is struggling with its £9.3bn ($14.3bn) budget because of worsening economic conditions. Plans for the £900m Olympic Village, which will house the athletes, and the £400m media centre remain uncertain because private developers are unable to raise funds for their construction.
