Senior bankers, often under scrutiny over the past year for their business practices, are now being offered a programme to help them demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the financial services landscape. The five-day programme is being launched by the Icma Centre at Henley Business School in the UK and the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland.
The programme will cover topics such as the operation of wholesale and retail financial markets, regulatory frameworks for liquidity, credit and operational risk management. and the viability of high leverage business models, wholesale market funding and securitisation programmes. There will also be more general leadership training included in the programme, which is designed for non-executive board members as well as senior bankers.
