Iran on Monday said it had test-fired a long range missile in a move seen as provocative just days before Tehran is due to meet Western powers.
The launch of the Shahab 3 - which was last tested in 2008 - is part of a series of military exercises by the elite Revolutionary Guards that began on Sunday. Tehran says the missile has a range of 2,000km, theoretically putting both Israel and US bases in the Gulf within its reach.
