Thaw in Indo-Pakistani relations at risk

The warning on Thursday by India to its neighbours to rein in terror groups or pay the price has cut short what promised to be an easing in decades-old hostility between New Delhi and Islamabad.

The attacks on India’s main financial centre came only days after Asif Ali Zardari, Pakistan’s president, made some of the strongest overtures to India about seeking peace in the region and ending a 61-year-old antagonism.
