Capital markets drive Asia-Pacific revenues

Capital markets activity has underpinned investment banking revenues in Asia-Pacific this year – with an unprecedented three-quarters of income driven by equity and debt issuance, according to Dealogic, the data provider.

Capital markets work typically accounts for about half of industry revenues in the region. Its greater weight in the year to date reflects a surge in company fundraisings and fewer mergers and acquisitions activity amid the economic slowdown.
