De La Rue cashes in on demand for bank notes

De La Rue, the world’s largest private producer of banknotes, on Friday said trading had been stronger than expected across the business and it now expected full-year pre-tax profits to be “significantly ahead” of consensus forecasts of £90.7m.

The banknote and paper operations have been operating at full capacity and are expected to do so until the end of the financial year, the company said.
