Digital future sees broadband for all

Mobile phone operators were told by ministers on Thursday to settle differences over radio spectrum, amid fears that a dispute could endanger a flagship plan for universal broadband.

Lord Carter, communications minister, published his long-awaited report on the media and telecoms industries which said every home should be able to receive broadband internet by 2012.
