Job setback for EU adviser in fraud probe

Europe's top justice official yesterday said he would not renew the contract of an adviser who is under investigation for fraud by the Italian police.

Franco Frattini, European justice commissioner, said he would not renew the contract of Walter Cretella-Lombardo, a general in the Italian financial police, when it expires this month.
