The UK’s largest business group urged the prime minister on Wednesday to tell Lord Sugar “you’re fired” after the enterprise tsar described struggling small companies as “moaners” living in a “Disney World” over bank lending.

Lord Sugar’s comments, made to a business conference in Manchester on Tuesday, had angered entrepreneurs, according to the Federation of Small Businesses, which has more than 215,000 members.
