Nissan shows confidence in Russian market

Nissan Motors, the Japanese car maker, opened a $200m auto assembly plant in Russia on Tuesday and said it was confident that the Russian car market would recover from a slump induced by the economic crisis.

Carlos Ghosn, the chief executive of Nissan, said, “We have confidence in the market and its recovery and for us Russia is the number one market in Europe and the fifth in the world.”
