IBM executive leaves after Galleon affair

Robert Moffat, the IBM senior executive charged with illegally passing on inside information, yesterday became the first tech industry executive known to have left his job in the wake of the Galleon affair.

His departure, two weeks after charges were filed, brings an end to a 31-year career that took him close to the top of one of the world's leading companies.
