Trinity Mirror sheds Dawson £65m contract

Trinity Mirror has ended its £65m ($105m) a year contract with Dawson Holdings, the stricken news distributor that announced on Thursday that it was quitting the business.

Dawson, which had been due to celebrate 200 years in the newsagency business this year, has been squeezed by its larger rivals Smiths News and John Menzies’ news distribution division in a series of contract wins.
