Spain to open books on directors’ pay

Every director of a quoted Spanish company will have their pay made public under a new “sustainable economy” bill unveiled on Friday by Spain’s Socialist government.

“There will be more transparency, particularly when it comes to the remuneration of executives,” Elena Salgado, finance minister, said after a cabinet meeting that approved the draft legislation.
