Computacenter moves away from PC sales

Computacenter will speed up its metamorphosis from a seller of technology equipment into broader IT services business after it ended the sale of office hardware.

In its annual results on Tuesday the group revealed that in November it ended the the sale of PCs, laptops and printers through CCD, its struggling trade distribution arm. Price competition saw revenues at the unit drop 14.2 per cent in spite of the weakness of sterling contributing to some product price rises.
