Norway?s mission to aid poorer oil nations criticised

As the world?s most successful petro-state, Norway has set itself the mission of saving poor developing countries from the oil curse.

But the Norwegian government?s ambitious policy to help countries benefit from their oil wealth ? without such side-effects as corruption and instability ? has not been universally welcomed. Its latest challenge has been a request from Bolivia to help complete the nationalisation of its gas industry.
