21 found guilty of Madrid bombings

A Spanish court on Wednesday convicted 21 people of involvement in the country’s worst terrorist attack, the 2004 Madrid train bombings that traumatised a nation three days before a general election.

Seven of the defendants were acquitted, including an Egyptian accused of masterminding the attacks.
