Comoros crash prompts blacklist calls

The crash of a Yemeni passenger jet en route to the Comoros islands late on Monday night, killing up to 152 people, has raised serious concerns about the co-ordination of international air safety standards.

Dominique Bussereau, France’s transport minister, told parliament on Wednesday that the Paris government would “fight” for a worldwide blacklist system to ensure that passengers did not fly in “rubbish planes”.
