COMPANIES The two-year battle between the online gambling industry and US prosecutors reached a significant milestone when Anurag Dikshit, co-founder of PartyGaming , on Tuesday agreed to plead guilty to a charge related to internet betting and pay the US authorities $300m.
Appearing in the Southern District Court of New York, Mr Dikshit, the largest shareholder in the UK-listed company, read a statement expressing regret for his actions.
