New car registrations plunge

New car registrations fell by 37 per cent in the UK last month, another sign of the deepening slump in the global auto industry.

In November registrations of new cars in Europe’s second-largest vehicle market totalled 100,333. Year-to-date, they fell by 10.7 per cent to 2,023,104 units, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders reported in data released on Thursday.
