Finance chief goes in Seoul reshuffle

Lee Myung-bak, South Korean president, announced a sweeping reorganisation of his cabinet today, in an attempt to deal with a precipitous economic downturn and an increasingly truculent North Korea.

The chief victim of the reshuffle was Kang Man-soo, finance minister, who had championed the country’s weak currency as a way to increase exports.
