Staff urge Wolfowitz to follow procedures

The World Bank's staff association has called on Paul Wolfowitz, president of the multilateral lending organisation, to respect the standards of good governance that the bank preaches to its member countries in his own staff appointments.

Alison Cave, chair of the association, sent an e-mail to the bank's 10,000 employees on Monday to highlight staff concerns about the appointment of two of Mr Wolfowitz's advisers to new jobs in the bank.
