Will active management boost results?

Active management has finally arrived in the world of exchange traded funds, but whether the newcomers attract assets will depend on a combination of the success of the managers and the costs relative to their mutual fund cousins.

ETFs – baskets of securities that are designed to track indices and trade like stocks – have been some of the hottest passive investment vehicles going in recent years.
