Indian police broaden Satyam probe

Indian police have widened their investigation to include other family-controlled companies in the scandal affecting Satyam Computer Services, the outsourcing company at the centre of India’s worst corporate fraud in more than a decade.

Police in India’s southern Andhra Pradesh state, whose capital Hyderabad is the base of Satyam, said on Sunday they were studying other companies controlled by the family of the group’s former chairman, B. Ramalinga Raju.
