Good times are over, central bankers told

Life for central bankers is going to get tougher as globalisation begins to produce malign effects - pushing up prices and spreading a financial crisis across the world, monetary policy chiefs said yesterday.

"The good times are behind us," lamented Christian Noyer, governor of the Bank of France and a member of the European Central Bank governing council, at a Paris conference.
