Reed Elsevier was among the few points of interest in the London market on Friday after Credit Suisse raised the European media sector to “overweight”.

“We are closer to recovery,” analyst Nick Bertolotti said. “Although green shoots have yet to emerge, we now look two quarters closer and anecdotally are hearing of signs of stabilisation.”
