Guernsey’s legal system combines two important features necessary for any stable but dynamic jurisdiction: it offers something distinctive from those of its largest neighbours; but it is also constantly evolving to meet new challenges in a globalised world.
As a result, it plays a vital role in the island’s success as an offshore financial centre, according to Julian Winser, chief executive of Schroders (CI), the Channel Islands private banking subsidiary of the global asset management business.
