Visa to sell shares worth up to $10bn

Visa, the world's biggest credit card network company, is moving ahead with an initial public offering selling shares that could have a value of at least $10bn.

The IPO, at that opening value, would be the largest US stock offering in years, and could reach the ranks of some of the world's record largest offerings. The IPO was disclosed late on Friday in a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
