Rexam chief executive to step down

Leslie Van de Walle, chief executive of Rexam, is to leave the FTSE 100 packaging maker at the start of January after about three years in the job.

The 53-year-old will be replaced by Graham Chipchase, director of its plastic packaging division and a former group finance director.
