Boeing could again be forced to delay production of its 787 Dreamliner if machinists belonging to its largest trade union vote on Wednesday to go on strike over a new three-year contract.
The leadership of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers – which represents 27,000 machinists in Washington state, Oregon and Kansas – is recommending its members reject Boeing’s offer of an 11 per cent increase in basic pay.
