Cameron hits out at US foreign policy

David Cameron, leader of Britain’s opposition Conservative party, on Monday launched an outspoken attack on the failures of American foreign policy, calling for a “rebalancing” of the close relationship between the US and the UK.

“We should be solid but not slavish in our friendship with America,” he said on Monday, during a speech in London on the fifth anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks in New York and Washington.
