Pound falls to two-year low against the dollar

The pound fell to a two-year low against the dollar on Wednesday after lower inflation projections from the Bank of England which kept alive the chance of an interest rate cut.

Yields on 10-year government bonds fell sharply after the Bank said in its quarterly inflation report that its inflation outlook was slightly weaker than in August.
