Breakthrough on stem cells

Scientists have formed “patient-specific” stem cells from adults with motor neurone disease, the first time such cells have been made for any disorder of the nervous system.

The breakthrough, at Harvard and Columbia universities in the US, was reported on Thursday in the online edition of the journal Science.
