Reformist gains signal desire for change in Kuwait

Reformist candidates, the majority of them Islamists, have made significant gains in Kuwait's parliament in election results likely to reverberate around the Gulf's Arab nations.

Analysts said Thursday's polls - the first in which women took part - delivered a clear signal to the ruling al-Sabah family that Kuwaitis want change.
