Labour Party Conference 2007 The BBC Trust was considering an appeal on Tuesday by Peter Hain, the Welsh secretary, to cancel an appearance on Thursday night on Question Time by Nick Griffin, the leader of the British National party.
Mr Griffin stoked up the heat around his scheduled appearance by comparing a group of former generals to Nazi war criminals, after they criticised the BNP for associating itself with the sacrifice of the armed forces.
