Ryanair achieves record passenger numbers

Ryanair increased its passenger numbers by 13 per cent year-on-year in June to 5.8m, setting a new monthly record as it continues to increase capacity and to add new aircraft to its fleet.

The Irish low cost carrier has become Europe’s biggest short-haul airline measured by passenger numbers and is continuing to grow rapidly during the depth of the recession in strong contrast to most of its rivals.
