Sex and the City and the prospect of UK media takeovers were among hot topics round the table as Claire Enders of research firm Enders Analysis gathered female media executives for dinner at One Aldwych. Guests included ITV strategy director Carolyn Fairbairn, Martina King , chair of the trade body Radio Centre, and Apax media partner Irina Hemmers . Natalie Massenet , the Net-a-Porter founder, aired plans to launch an outlet version of her online fashion site, called Outnet. Former GCap chief and Woolworths director Fru Hazlitt , waving a bandaged finger from a domestic injury, reflected on her tenure at the radio group. Future boss Stevie Spring got the laughs by sharing a printout from the GCap website where the glossary aptly defines ebitda as "earnings before interest, tax, depression and amortisation".
