Irish No ‘bad for business’, leaders warn

European chief executives believe the Irish No vote in a referendum on the Lisbon treaty is bad for business as it weakens the European Union on the global stage against the Middle East, Russia and Asian countries.

The heads of Siemens, Austria’s OMV and Adidas told the Financial Times this week they were worried about the Irish referendum and how it would affect Europe’s ability to compete against the US and Asia.
