Car bomb kills 4 in Thai tourist town

A car bomb killed four people and injured 40 in a tourist town in southern Thailand shortly after the Thai prime minister left the restive region following a visit to discuss security with community leaders.

Police said the bomb exploded behind a hotel on a street in Sungai Kolok, a town near the Malaysian border whose bars and nightclubs are popular with tourists.
