Plant Health Care shoots up

Plant Health Care climbed 23.4 per cent to 229p on news of a licensing deal with Monsanto for its harpin seed treatment - a natural alternative to pesticide.

Evolution Securities, which repeated its "buy" recommendation and 500p target price on the company, said the deal, which covers crops and vegetables, could eventually generate £15m of earnings a year.
