GSK agrees breakthrough pricing deals

GlaxoSmithKline, the UK-based pharmaceutical group, has agreed ground-breaking pricing deals with two European governments, allowing it to raise prices once the value of its new medicines is better understood.

The company has persuaded two EU state health systems that the initial launch prices on two of its latest drugs can later be renegotiated once more data becomes available on their true efficacy and cost effectiveness.
