Abu Hamza al-Masri, the radical Muslim cleric who was jailed for seven years after being found guilty on a string of race-hate and terrorism-related charges, has lost his appeal against conviction.
Three senior Court of Appeal judges - including the Lord Chief Justice - ruled that any risk to the fairness of his trial, resulting from the adverse media publicity which followed the 9/11 attacks and changed world environment, had been successfully dealt with by the trial judge.
