UK must produce ‘as much food as we can’

More food for the UK market should be produced in Britain, the government said on Monday, as it launched a review of how best to ensure the nation’s food security.

The review from the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), will be followed by a “food strategy for the future” to be published later in the year.
