Banks take hard line on card fraud victims

Banks and building societies are taking a harder line with customers who have fallen victim to card fraud, often dismissing compensation claims and accusing account holders of collusion in the crimes.

Although incidences of card fraud have fallen, consumer complaints against banks have risen sharply during the past year.
