Drivers put blame on Chávez for Caracas congestion

Anger and frustration are emotions that Edgardo Romero has learned to suppress when, on a bad day, it takes him two hours to drive to work - a journey he swears he can walk in less than an hour.

But after staring at the grubby rear windscreen of the same car for more than an hour while creeping towards his office in downtown Caracas this week, Mr Romero finally lost his cool.
